Then my mum spotted a competition in the local paper to capture a local scene. The prize was a £500 camera. Right, my first project I thought to myself, I will win, I am determined!
In the weeks that followed Mike and I took a few trips out and about snapping and having a laugh, trying to be artistic.
Today the results were reported in the local paper. Drumrollllllll . . .
So I didn't win. No surprises there. But one of my pictures was shortlisted amongst the 8 finalists. Not bad for my first try. Here's the picture in question. It was taken on a fairly cloudy day at Mount St Bernhard's Abbey, one of my favourite local spots.

That picture is fantsatic- I think you should have one. Loved the holiday pics- was it a haven holiday? We are going to Reighten sands tomorrow- we are also planning to go to Flamingo land- with the help of tesco clubcard vouchers!!
It was indeed Haven! I hope you have a good time there- for some reason I think Lucy and Dan have been to that one. Good old vouchers - we wouldn't have a holiday without them xx
What a fantastic photo Michelle - I love the light in it - well done you! x
Hey, I've been there!! Pretty photo. I love the colors. You should have won. I bet it was rigged.
You should do a photography class in YW's! xx
